Dutch readers

Dutch reception of women's writing has been taken in particular consideration during the last three years. Inventories have been made, perusing sources which are documented under the heading Sources. These large-scale sources will be analyzed from now on.

Individual "receivers" (readers, critics, translators, etc.) have in some cases played important roles, or provide interesting cases. Some of them are presented here:

Male readers
Otto van Eck (1780-1798)

Female readers
Elisabeth Wolff-Bekker (1738-1804)
Keetje Hooijer-Bruijns (1817-1886)
Queen Sophie of the Netherlands (1818-1877)
Geertruida Kapteyn-Muysken (1855-1920)
