By country or language
Although approaching women's writing in an international perspective, we admit that for practical reasons a grouping by country is sometimes useful. Studies concerning these countries are about literary activities by women in the country itself and about the reception of foreign women's writing:
- Belgium
- England
- France
- Greece
- Ireland
- Italy
- The Netherlands
- Portugal
- Russia
- Scotland
- Spain
- Switzerland
- United States
