Spanish women prologues as silent debate

Abstract

Although we have hardly got comments on works by women authors, their own writings' prologues are usually a self-defence of their right to write, and the arguments they use are an implicit answer to the criticism they have received. Using these sources we can understand how the reception of their works was, and following it for nearly two centuries we can know how and when it changed all over the early modern period.

As a final conclusion I would like to consider which topoi seem to be relevant for this source, in order to tag these texts with TEI and develop a future tool to query documents in different languages as to enable a comparative European study.
