Highlights

Research projects like these contribute to a greater familiarity with a large public of authors who have long been virtually unknown or known mainly as interesting (Anna Maria van Schurman!), intriguing (Etta Palm!) or even shocking (George Sand!) figures.

Here some examples of women authors who are presently studied by members of the NEWW network. These researchers tend to consider them as fascinating because of their very authorship and the role they managed to play toward their readers - in particular those of their own days.

However, we also want to highlight the ways in which modern interest for these authors is becoming visible, and may be considered to touch a larger audience.
