Nederland, one of the rivals of De Gids, edited by J. ten Brink and H.J. Schimmel, has been perused for the "key years" between 1850 and 1900. Outcome is 56 articles, of which 43 about Dutch authors; no more than two concern the great novelist Geertruida Bosboom-Toussaint.
