Judith Bouiller

Judith Bouiller and her sister Lucie wanted to be writers. We know that thanks to the correspondence between Belle de Zuylen and Constant d'Hermenches. Living in Utrecht as daughters of a francophone protestant minister, they of course heard about Belle de Zuylen, and tried to get into contact with the local celebrity. They even pretended to be in contact with her. But to Constant d'Hermenches, the then 26-year-old author of Le Noble denied having had any contact with them. She makes fun of the early death of Lucie in 1768.
