Europa

Europa. Verzameling van in- en uitlandsche lettervruchten (Europe. Collection of Dutch and foreign literary fruits) mainly published original and translated short texts. Women's collaboration was rather visible.

64 original Dutch contributions, between 1852 and 1893, to the periodical are by women. Most prolific were Henriette van Loo (13 texts) and Betsy Perk (13).

As for texts by foreign women: between 1844 and 1893 we found 48 translations. Most important numbers for the Danish Anne Magdalene Thoresen (5) and the Swedish Marie Sophie Schwartz (7).
