Authors named Susanna or Suzanna
Authors' first names are probably of no influence for their decision or wish to become an author. Another relation of course exists between authorship and pseudonyms. Anyhow the possibility, in the database WomenWriters, of selecting women by their name is not completely futile. It allows to create a corpus of authors in a really arbitrary way.
When wanting to study and compare the situations and intentions of a limited number of women, one might select for example the 16 Susanna's, or the nine Suzanna's. Most of them are little known, and the Frenchwomen in particular, being generally presented as Madame, will not be known by their first name. Still, differences as to their reputations are to be found - simply when looking at records in the database WomenWriters: see reception of Susan(na)'s, Suzan(na)'s and even a Zsuzsána.....
