Belle de Zuylen Papers



The Cahiers ISABELLE DE CHARRIERE / BELLE DE ZUYLEN Papers are published by the “Genootschap Belle van Zuylen” (the Dutch Isabelle de Charrière Association). This bilingual (French and English) publication is the successor to the Lettre de Zuylen et du Pontet, of which thirty numbers have been published between 1976 and 2005. Like the Lettre, the Cahiers are published once a year, in September.


Three - thematic - issues have appeared:

2007:
BELLE DE ZUYLEN'S PLACES: SPACES AND TOPOI

2008:
BELLE DE ZUYLEN FACING MEN: CORRESPONDENTS, LOVERS OR FICTITIOUS FIGURES

The next issue will be presented on the occasion of the annual meeting of the "Genootschap Belle van Zuylen", 10 October 2009, Zuylen (in the Church near the Castle). It will be entitled:
FACTS, GENDER, FICTION

In relation to this theme the editorial board of the Belle de Zuylen Papers is convening a session about of the ASECS conference of March 2010 (Albuquerque) about the theme:
Cultural Identity and Cosmopolitanism:
the Dutch and European Reception of Isabelle de Charrière.
