Algemeen Letterlievend Maandschrift

The Algemeen Letterlievend Maandschrift (General Letter Loving Monthly; published from 1816) was one of the leading literary journals before [[De Gids]]. It provided us with 166 records. 139 refer to articles, the others to information about recent translations, for example. 45 out of the 166 items are about Dutch authors; 43 about English women.

These comments will be analyzed in order - in the first place - to find out global attitudes toward this literature.
