Looking back, looking forward - new ways of collaborative work in the digital humanities

Abstract

Digital Humanities seem to be very well in vogue nowadays, but their emergence is also surrounded by lively discourse around for definitions, identity, boundary drawing, promises, enthusiasm and skepticism. At the end, it is the daily practice of scholars in the field which will make what Digital Humanities is about. This contribution looks back at the setting up of this specific COST Action from the point of view of science and technology studies. It closes with an introduction into new endeavors and also new COST Action in this area.
