Les rôles transfrontaliers joués par les femmes
Abstract:
This contribution will present a provisional list of eighteenth-century European women writers translated into Spanish during the eighteenth century (all of them introduced in the database). My main interest will focus in the paratexts: I will check which translations have one/several potentially interesting paratexts, particularly prefaces written by their translators, trying to compare all these paratexts to figure out how women writers were received and commented upon by their translators, in which terms were they recommended for a Spanish public, and to check whether there were differences in the attitudes of male/female translators.
