Gender and the historiography of romance literatures

The German members of the COST Action Annette Keilhauer and Lieselotte Steinbrügge organize a conference mobilizing German and French researchers engaged in Gender issues linked to romance literatures on February 23 and 24, 2012, at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg with the title: Gender comme catégorie de l’historiographie littéraire dans les littératures romanes. Point of departure is the observation that the results of gender research did not find an adequate echo in institutionalization and in new projects on the historiography of literature. New approaches to literary history are to be reflected that start from the concept of literary history as a dialogue between the sexes, concept initiated by Ina Schabert who will also participate.
