Belle de Zuylen Papers

The Cahiers ISABELLE DE CHARRIERE / BELLE DE ZUYLEN Papers are published by the “Genootschap Belle van Zuylen” (the Dutch Isabelle de Charrière Association) in collaboration with NEWW. This bilingual (French and English) publication is the successor to the Lettre de Zuylen et du Pontet, of which thirty numbers have been published between 1976 and 2005. Like the Lettre, the Cahiers are published once a year, (normally...) in Autumn (ISSN 1872-7832).

Ten - thematic - issues have appeared:

2006:
WOMEN’S WORK: PENS AND NEEDLES OF BELLE DE ZUYLEN

2007:

2014:

2015:

presented February 18th 2016 at the Noord-Hollands Archief, Haarlem (Jansstraat 40).

In 2016 we had to decide that it had become too difficult - for different reasons - to continue issuing the Cahiers Isabelle de Charrière. Our research and publishing activities will not stop however; in particular reactions to our call for the 2017 issue about The international reception of Isabelle de Charrière during the 19th and 20th centuries, will be kept and can be sent in view of a volume we plan to prepare.
See call description here.

Furthermore the Huygens-ING-project for digitizing the correspondence of Isabelle de Charrière is continuing; see the project description.
