-	''Sir Walter Finch et son fils William'', Isabelle de Charrière’s last novel, was published posthumously in 1806 and got hardly any attention in contemporary journals and newspapers. Up till now the only known review was that published in the ''Journal des Luxus und der Moden'' of December 1806. However, it looks as if the anonymous journalist was influenced by a much longer article, written in French, which in Octo-ber that year appeared in ''La Revue philosophique, littéraire et politique''.
